Running The Parsec Application On Your Computer Via The Command Line

RUNNING THE CLIENT HEADLESS

If you prefer to run the Parsec Application headless, type parsec server_id=YOUR_SERVER_ID from any directory. The server_id is available via hovering over the computer symbol next to your computer on the main page.

SYNTAX

Windows
"C:\Program Files\Parsec\parsecd.exe" server_id=YOUR_SERVER_ID 

(note: you will receive error -2001 if you have not previously opened and logged into parsecd.exe)

macOS
/Applications/Parsec.app/Contents/MacOS/Parsec\ Game\ Window server_id=YOUR_SERVER_ID

 (note: you will receive error -2001 if you have not previously opened and logged into Parsec Game Window - located in the same directory)

Linux
"C:\Program Files\Parsec\parsecd.exe" server_id=YOUR_SERVER_ID 

(note: you will receive error -2001 if you have not previously opened and logged into parsecd.exe)

SETTINGS

All client settings applicable to your client OS can be added via the command line. You can find a list of settings here. Your settings on the command line should be separated by colons. For example:

parsecd server_id=YOUR_SERVER_ID:client_vsync=1
