As of September 3, 2019, new Parsec users will no longer have the option to rent cloud computers. If you already have credits in your account on that date, you will have the option to keep adding credits and renting machines until January 1, 2020. After January 1, you will no longer be able to add credits to your account, and you will need to use your credits entirely by February 1, 2020. If you'd like a refund for your remaining credits, please click here.
Parsec provides a detailed view of your credit usage here. Things to remember about renting a cloud gaming PC:
- Storage is not free. You have to pay for storage every day your gaming PC is sitting around waiting for you. Each provider charges a different amount for storage. If you're not going to use your cloud gaming PC for awhile, please delete it. You can see how I deleted my gaming PC below. Sometimes (as in the gif), the machine will not delete right away. If you reload the page, it will, however be removed.
- Every time you start an Amazon Cloud Gaming PC, you will be charged, at a minimum, one hour. Amazon always rounds up to the nearest hour. So, if you play for 5 minutes, you'll be charged for one hour. If you play for 5 minutes, shut down your PC, start it again, and play for another 5 minutes, you'll be charged for two hours. If you play for one hour and 1 minute, you'll be charged for two hours.
