Balance Decreasing Over Time / Hours Missing

Important Information

As of September 3, 2019, new Parsec users will no longer have the option to rent cloud computers. If you already have credits in your account on that date, you will have the option to keep adding credits and renting machines until January 1, 2020. After January 1, you will no longer be able to add credits to your account, and you will need to use your credits entirely by February 1, 2020. If you'd like a refund for your remaining credits, please click here.

If you haven't logged in to Parsec in a while, and notice your cloud computer balance to be lower than you remember, it may be because of the following two reasons.

Daily Storage Charges

For each day you have a cloud gaming PC, you are charged a small fee for storage.  This storage fee is charged daily, and over a period of 30 days, will add to the cost of the storage amount you selected when creating your PC.  So, if you selected a 100GB Paperspace drive, for $7 per month, you will pay about $0.23c per day for storage.

We charge you daily so you only pay for however many days you had the machine. If you only had it for 15 days, you only pay $3.50, not the full month charge.

If you don't want to pay these fees over time, your best bet is to delete your cloud machine.  You can create another with your remaining balance any time.

Delayed AWS charges

Unfortunately if you have an AWS machine, there may be some delay between your usage, and the AWS billing system telling us what to charge you.  This delay can be sometimes up to 12 hours.  We're hoping to make this more user friendly in the near future by running our own estimate of your usage.
